Can't make any sense of your trade with Edmonton, and have seen this same cap circumvention with Nylander on your prior post! Be perfectly clear that the league would step in and ascertain that this is a violation of the current CBA, and void the contract! The Carlson signing also jeopardizes the future big three signings in terms of cap as well. But good job on the Martin trade!

You keep posting the same Edmonton trade and the same Nylander singing bonus scenario.

In your Nylander scenario...you realize his cap hit will be $5m * 7yrs = $35m + $12m bonus = $47m over 7 years = $6.7m cap hit. You can probably get him inked now for 8yrs at that cap hit.

Islanders have enough over-paid bottom 6 forwards, they don't want Martin back unless you're taking a bigger cap hit back in return
