What is the best Draisaitl trade?

I think Draisaitl is an amazing player but in a cap world 8.5M is just too much to pay a player who will always be our 2C.

        Not really I mean Malkin makes a million more and is a second line centre? With that being said Ottawa trade is the best but Ottawa wouldn't do it unless the flip duchene interesting tho

        That lucic deal is terrible. As watching lucic on the kings 2 years ago you can tell he was slowing down but the best thing you guys can hope for is like a Dustin Brown kind of rebound season.

        Way I look at it is lucic cant get much worse then he did this year and he knows it he will be motivated to try am claim second line minutes if not he knows he will be playing third an fourth line minutes lucic still brings protection and strength he just needs to work on his foot speed and hockey iq

        You're right, the penguins have shown that having 25% of your cap tied up in two centers is actually doable, but they were incredible at finding depth players at value. Cool concept though, I would take the OTT trade for sure, potentially the Carolina one if you sweetened it for EDM just a bit more

        Yeah but if peter was smart enough he wouldn't be so dumb to even sign him. Yes he protects McDavid, Leon and Nuge but there are other guys you can find that would be cheaper and would produce the same or close to it.

        St. Louis doesn't do this if Schwartz is part of the package. Replace him with Tage Thompson, Sammy Blais, or Robby Fabbri and the 2018 1st rounder we got from WPG and I think they do it.

        True enough, the Pens prove it can work but they have wingers to play with them which we do not and don’t seem able to find. After the first round our drafting is brutal which you need to get those cheap complimentary players to round out your team. But in this case you are correct.

        The deal from those proposal are the one from St-Louis... no doubt!
        Adding Schwartz & Parayko is a big upgrade with skills & ice-presence.
        followed very closed by Ottawa offer... even if OTT deal make more sens to EDM.
        Getting to top Winger in Hoffman & Tkatchuk + the young Chabot would certainly help Edm for the next 10 years!
