Would this actually work though? I would have even threw Kinkaid in to make the Carolina trade sweeter too.

Although I understand the appeal of trading with a team that has several good, young, defensive players, personally I don't like the idea of trading to a division rival. The Metro is already so stacked: Washington battling with Tampa in the ECF, Pittsburgh coming off back to back championships, Philly with a solid mix of talent and youth, Columbus also with youth, us, and then the Islanders, which feature one of the dealiest offenses in the league, and the Rangers who have committed to rebuilding, for now. We have to remember that while we earned our spot in the playoffs this year, it came down to a single point. Literally a single game could've changed everything. So while the value here makes sense, the only teams I would want NJ to trade with at this moment would be in the West or bottom teams in the Atlantic (Buffalo, Ottawa).
