I mean it's not horrible but it doesn't really help Edmonton at all. They downgrade in the short term for a better pick. I think they're interested in trading the pick for help now as they feel that's a major piece for them to contend.

Also they need a RHD, which they get here in Ceci. But also give one up in Larsson. So from us, Karlsson would be the only option, and they wouldn't want to give Larsson back. And for us, we would need Larsson coming back.

Seems like a good match but I don't see it happening.

Value isn't bad though! Maybe Ottawa adds a small small piece.

My rationale is that Larsson is a fairly significant upgrade on Ceci, Edmonton drafting Boqvist is also a pretty big upgrade over Bouchard/Merkley who I would see going 10th. I think overall both teams get better on the right side

I do agree, but Edmonton can't wait the 2 years for Boqvist to be a good NHLer. They want someone like now.
