I think the chance of him signing in Buffalo higher than people think or want to believe. I do believe he will use the Sabres to get a bigger contract, thats why I wouldnt offer him more than fair value

And what it may be of interest to Buffalo? Why not San Jose, New Jersey or stay in New York.

San Jose is just getting older, they blew picks and prospects over the last few years trying to be a cup team. I see them dropping off. He wont go back to the Isles, 10 years and they never got close. New Jersey would be a contender, they have a good mix of young skilled guys and vet talent. I think the Sabres will be better than NJD though.

Seeing his name in the rafters every home game could be a draw.....yes its his uncle but you never know!

It would be cool to see both banners sitting next to each other one day. In a big hockey market, that might mean something to him
