I know Spezza is part of dumping salary, but as a Flyers fan, i made my own team and had Dallas offering a 4th round pick for Neuvrith alone

I include him in the trade because of the fact that he’d be a good 3C-4C for one year until Morgan Frost gets called up. Let’s face it, Spezza isn’t the same player he used to be (hence the salary retention), but he’s still a substantially better player than Lehtera. He fits into Philly’s roster pretty well.

I wouldn't mind the trade at all, if Spezza's contract length wasn't too long ('m not sure how much more years he has with that contract)

He's got one year left on his deal. 1 year at $3.75 isn't a terrible deal....considering what Philly is paying Lehtera.
