They talk about 3 things:

1-lightning giving in to Ottawa for Karlsson (changing mind on a deal they almost did at deadline)

2-stamkos luring friend Tavares (keep in mind no state tax, 8.5 is just as much as 10.5 in Tampa)

3-Johnson for Faulk

That would be ridiculous. Girardi was good enough to take that bottom pair spot, flip Stralman and recover some assets and/or ELCs

Not sure what the restrictions are on conditional picks, but is TBL even allowed to trade the 2019 1st round pick? If they win the cup in 2019, the 2019 2nd round pick traded to NYR becomes a 2019 1st. Would that just be pushed back to a different draft's 1st round pick?

All 3 or 1 of 3 isn't going to change the cap situation. If they sign Tavares then they need to dump cap. If they trade for EK, they need to dump cap. The only one that doesn't hurt cap wise is TJ. I am sure they could move TJ for picks/prospects and leave Stralman as 2RD.

Either way Tampa has to go for it this year, and I see one of those trades happening and mattering more than you trolling a fantasy team based off rumors.

Trolling? I think the cap is a large issue when it comes to the NHL...

Look at Tampa’s UFAs after this year. They’re probably going to buy out Callahan and have to trade away most of the core they can’t sign anyways. One of these trades to help them go for it is the point here not cap after next year
