Yo we haven't even won 1 yet! Don't jinx it!

Wilson will cost more, around $3.5M.

Don't need Green if Carlson is staying. Orpik on the 2nd pairing is scary bad. Dude shouldn't even be on the team next seaosn.

Even if we get Bokk he won't be in the NHL.

You are 60 cents below the cap ceiling.

I don't think Orpik has played bad especially this postseason... I do think its quite a cap hit for the lack of skill he brings to the table regular season, but its worth it if he can continue to play this way in future playoffs... I think having both Green and Carlson would allow a dual threat power play as well as strengthen the D-core even more... I guess thats personal opinion though... I think any first round pick now a days is ready for the NHL... not a first liner by any means but 3rd/4th liner.... I do agree with you on Wilson however... will be real tough to get him for that little

As long as they're below is all that matters

Orpik has been horrendous. Only reason people think he's doing well Holtby is killing it behind him. Orpik has the highest PDO on the team but some of the worst possession stats. It means he's incredibly lucky.

Green is good and all but he isn't better than Carlson or NIskanen so we don't need him to come in here and play on the 3rd pairing for $6M. Also Orlov on the bottom pairing? He's our best defensemen!

About 1-3 players in a draft EVER instantly play in the NHL and that's usually the first 3 picks. Bokk won't be NHL ready for 2-3 years at least.

Even if you are barely under the cap, you still only have 20 players under contract. That's legal but literally no team has ever done that. Usually need at least 1 extra forward and 1 extra dman.

Orpik has been horrendous!?!?!?!?!? He has the highest plus/minus in the playoffs... Holtby has been playing well but you cannot say that people believe a D-man is only doing good because his goalie is playing well... just not how it works and simply put, illogical.

And you're going to tell me Green isn't better than Niskanen?????? Are you okay?
Dude you're honestly not well if you think Orlov is our best defenseman.....

So much about those comments hurt my head. We'll start with Orpik stats in the playoffs: 47.10% possession, 48.22% scoring chances, 40.28 high danger scoring chances (that's insane), and before you say "he starts in the dzone so much, here's his offensive zone start percentage: 54.11%. So he gets absolutely shelled in scoring chances against even though he starts in the ozone a LOT. As for his +/- for one it's a completely useless stat, but the reason it's so good is because his PDO (luck) is the highest on the team at 107.2, which is insanely lucky. Goalies have been saving .960sv% behind him! That's unreal. So he's letting a crap load of scoring chances against while he's on the ice starting in the ozone but Holtby is saving his bacon. He's a horrifically bad player. Caps insanely lucky there haven't been multiple goals scored on against while he's on the ice.

Niskanen is better than Green and I'm a huge Green fan, but he's simply not what he was before. I like him, but not over Niskanen.

Orlov is by far the Caps best defensemen. He takes on the toughest defensive assignments and puts up fantastic scoring chances numbers. I love Carlson but I'm taking Orlov.
