Good JT contract! I think 1.25 mil is little much for Aaltonen (I don't think he's ever played in the NHL, I could be wrong). I think Matthews is gonna want more than 8 mil unfortunately.

There is room for Tavares as you suggest. Would likely mean trading Nylander next summer with the signing of Marner and Matthews. I'd keep Mcillerney if only if the minors and try Sparks as Leaf goalie next October.
Like the 1.25m for Aaltonen, if he can't be a Leaf and sent to the minors, it still isn't a cap hit.
