Sorry, got distracted and forgot about the $60mm Salary Floor. Give an extra $5mm to each of Jankowski,, Kulak, Gillies, Wotherspoon and Klimchuk, with the remainder required split between Jankowski and Gillies.

This is a horrible idea for the Flames to actually do. That said, this is a really funny thought experiment.
Max cash on an ELC is $925 000, so you'd need to grab a couple eternal LTIR guys (Hossa, Lupul, etc.) to make the floor.

Buffalo laughs. You can’t sign someone to an ELC above 925,000. Shows your lack of hockey knowledge.

Congratulations. This is hands down the stupidest, most idiotic post I’ve ever read on this site, and that’s saying something. Wish there was an option to give negative stars.

Yup, dollars is the issue. I’d have to check actual Cap minimum, Bonus and LTIR rules. But doing the exercise, it is interesting to wonder what actual value might be for these high picks and the impact on your team? How about if you modify and only trade anyone 30 and over? 28 and over? If you did that you wouldn’t have the money issue. Let’s see... Gio, Backlund, Frolík, Stone, Hamonic, Smith, Brodie, Brouwer....
