I think the trades are pretty fair. That said, with bonuses you are up against the cap and is the Buffalo ownership ready to press the cap for next few years? Do the team revenues justify it? If could be 1 year go for it all in, and then tough decisions next year like, do you try to resign Panarin...he will likely cost $8M or more even. Hanafin will also likely get a bit more then that.

buffalo is one of the top hockey markets in north america and ownership has spent to the cap and beyond. we are still paying 3 former head coaches, 2 former GMs. the Pegula's also own the bills and are unafraid to spend money. btw, sabres, under this scenario have 17 nhl players under contract for next year with 20 million in cap space. I'm not on board with, or expect much of this to happen, but wanted to weigh in on the question on ownership

Yea just next year Buffalo has an extra $5.6m (Pominville) $3.975m (Moulson) so $9.5ish million opening up. Also on this i set the cap at the lowest its suppose to go.. add another couple million to the cap next year especially if Seattle gets their team. I still think Buffalo will have enough room under the cap to do what they need to do. As littlejerryseinfeld said.. the Pegulas don't seem to mind throwing more money after bad money so, i don't expect that to change. Thanks for the input.

Oh yea I did put in the description that i expected to resign Panarin for 8 years 8 million per.. but i forgot to save that part

Yeah, missed the Moulsin part, thanks for explaining. Yeah, about $13M for 4 players after Panarin so should be plenty.
