Description

I think by now it's pretty evident that Karlsson isn't going to resign with Ottawa. Pierre Dorion has said they'll be offering him an extension July 1st, but if it was something Erik was willing to accept then we would've seen something to this tune (much like the OEL and Arizona situation).

So therefore we've gotta move him, and because of this is why some are saying we need to give up the 1st round pick this year. This is to avoid it hanging over us next season and possibly missing out on a top 3 pick as we'll be a worse team without King K.

So heres my solution of giving this years pick, but still drafting high.

That trade is pointless for the habs. Kotkaniemi wont make it past Chicago at #8. So they lose #3 and they don't get the player they want...
