This is just awful. Lucic for $8 million?? Draisaitl for Trouba? Draisaitl>Trouba. The Oilers are better off making a deal with the NY islanders for Hamonic, than to give up one really good player and a former first overall pick for Trouba.

Great deal for Schiefele if they can work that out. Shave 2mil off Lucic. Way too much.

No chance Looch gets anything close to 8/8, and also the Jets have a self-imposed salary cap from ownership that is lower than the NHL salary cap. That was the whole reason why Cheveldayoff had to trade Ladd at the deadline, because even though the Jets had enough cap space to sign him, they could not pay his next contract. There is no way that they will operate anywhere close to 74 mil next season without either a change in ownership's thinking or a change in ownership outright

Jets didn't resign Ladd because they offered him $6M for 6 years and he turned it down. He was playing third line minutes with the Jets and they can invest $36M better.

These deals are optimistic from a Jets standpoint. Armia has looked good and deserves to be on the roster next year. Agree that Lucic deal is overpayment. With Ehlers and Perreault already and Connor coming soon, LW isn't where the Jets need to invest heavily. A top 6 RW would bump Stafford to where he belongs on the third line. Maybe a veteran centre in case Petan doesn't grow into the role. Certainly a quality LHD.
