The Tanev trade is way too much. TO doesn't need to trade Martin's contract they have tonnes of space. Kapanen is more valuable to Toronto than Granlund would be. So that leaves a pick for Tanev and he isn't worth a 1st.

A 2nd and a prospect, likely a non roster LHD. Think Borgman, Rosen, Nielsen etc.

And as you may also have heard, Montreal is currently lacking in that department.
