IMO that is way overpaying for tanev.

Rosen isn't depth solid puck moving dman with top 4 potential. Timoshov Top9 potential, Zaitev can still play,Leivo could be a 15 goal scorer and a 3rd, that's fair. Learn what you're talking about

all i see is a bunch of maybes, like no significant players. and i didnt say Zaitsev couldnt play, i said he had a bad contract. im sure VAN would want something better, or just something else. and "learn what you're talking about" ive been on this site for a bit now and learned that leafs fans love to overrate their prospects.

also from a leafs perspective, why not keep those players, your guys depth is okay, and if these players are what you're saying they are, why not trade something else like picks and use those guys in your top 9. Leafs could definitely use them more than vancouver

Watch the AHL playoffs and you can see( if you know hockey) that these players are good. Yes not every player in the AHL always turns out but Rosen is good, Timoshov was good, Zaitev, I agree with you its not a "good contract" but can easily have a bonce back season. Leivo has played good whenever he plays for the leafs but they don't have space for him.

look, they dont look like bad players, but the asking price for Tanev is higher than that. i think its looking like a 1st straight up (leafs have the 25th). and im sure if vancouver can get that from tampa, or somewhere else.
