Tampa can't afford Tavares, period. They could possibly swing it this year but then they are kissing Kucherov goodbye. They only have 2 defencemen signed for next season and Point and Gourde will need new contracts next year as well.

Yeah probably, unless the cap goes to 82m and they go cheaper at D than Stralman and Girardi. Probably a longshot, I think SJ is his best bet.

I put this on another post but yeah it can be pulled off. If we don't resign JT Miller, we can offer that $ to Point. When Strals comes off the books next yr, you add his 4.5M to Kuch which brings him over 9M. Call up Foot to replace Strals. Girardi comes off the books next yr too, put that 3M towards Vasy putting him at $6.5M and Serg do a bridge deal in 2 yrs by moving an offensive player out. I also would trade Cali for his last yr instead of buyout, add some prospects to do it. I also would not resign Paquette. We have too many centers and Syracuse is stacked. It can be done, question is do we want JT. I would rather go after E. Karlsson next yr. But trust the Yzerplan. He knows what he is doing.
