Description

DSP will not be tendered, so his RFA status will end July1, it seems we most likely won't be re-signing him.

Wilson and the caps are talking about a long-term contract, so hopefully an 8-year deal.

Who knows if Beagle gets re-signed or not, I chose not to for this team but I'd be ecstatic to se him back on the team. Only thing is there really isn't a spot for all the forwards, so that could be the deal breaker.

Orpik is re-signed for 1-year after his buyout.

Don't need a backup goalie both Samsonov and Copley are plenty capable.

Understandable, but GMBM said that he'd like to start Samsonov in Hershey, and Copley is unproven at the NHL level. I expect him to be up in the NHL but if we don't sign another backup for cheap money, it's possible that Copley struggles at the NHL level. If he does, and Samsonov still needs adjusting to the NA rink, we could be in trouble. Just a thought, who knows what the caps do, they could easily be confident in Copley.

yeah thats true, but i just dont know if they want to look outside organization for a backup when they have limited capspace.
