Description

Admitted pipe dream...never gonna happen, but just in case. Toss a pile of dough at JT...clear cap by sending Backes and sweetener to Wild for Coyle to be 3C. This sends Backes home and provides leadership/grit. Pull trigger on Krug for Klefbom. Don't love it but provides needs for both clubs as Klefbom is locked in for 5yrs as 2LD. JT makes Krejci expendable and with McAvoy, Carlo, Donato, Heinen entering RFA status an even swap for Eberle gives B's a year of his services and then cap relief to sign RFA's next year. The Isles will need a top C and they could do worse than Krejci. The 13th Fwd could just rotate some youth to give them a taste of next level and provide a reward...

Don’t hate this at all, but personally I’d rather try and move krejci to car for Skinner whose on the same kind of contract as eberle. Skinner playing along side Tavares would be scary. Marchy/Bergy/pasta... debrusk/Tavares/skinner as the top 6, oh my. Also would love to see chara-carlo back together, think they’d be a good pair as would Mcavoy-Klefbom.

I don't see NYI ever doing that trade, nor do I see Krejci waiving his NMC to go there (or anywhere, but I sense I'm alone on that island among Bruins fans).

Instead of getting Klefbom, EDM can keep him or move him somewhere else (Carolina) to make room for Krug if they want. I'd rather have a draft pick and give a chance to either Lauzon or Zboril to develop into the next top 4 LHD for the organization.

And if you remove Klefbom, you don't need to do the Krejci trade and you'll have more cap space to potentially land a free agent like Grabner who could round out the top 6 and keep Pastrnak with Bergeron and Marchand.
