If Bolts want JT

Description
If the Bolts want JT, they're gonna have to clear some cap. Here's a few moves I think would make scene to push for him and a few thoughts I have:

1.) They some how to get Callahan of their books. He's making way to much for a 4th liner. Buffalo may take him because he's a veteran that can help with some of their younger guys and Buffalo could get him to groom a capitan.

2.) Losing out on JT means the Sharks would be shopping for another center. At this point, Johnson would probably get stuck on the 3rd line and that seems like a bit of a waste for him so they could get a nice return for him and clear 5mil in cap.

3.) The Bolts won't play JT or Stammer on the second line unless they're struggling and need to balance the scoring. So to start the season, they should move Stammer to the wing and see what that line would do

4.) If JT did go to the Bolts, what number would he wear? Stammer has 91 so he would have to find a new number. I know a lot of players will just flip their number (so 91 flips to 19) and I'm pretty sure nobody has that on the Bolts.

I would think you could pay someone a 3rd or a B- prospect to take Coburn for a year, which would open up enough space to keep Johnson and really make a run at the Cup this season. Johnson and Killorn (and probably someone else) would probably still have to be moved after the season to make room for the Kucherov and Point extensions, but it's worth keeping it together as much as possible for this year IMO.

Heard that Tampa is out on the John Tavares sweepstakes heard that Boston, Dallas and Tampa were eliminated from contention. Heard it's down to pretty much the Isles, Leafs and Sharks for his service.

That would not be the worst thing in my book. I believe the Lightning have other items they need to focus on investing in to round out the team. I think we do need a playmaker, but would like to look at someone like Toews (not Toews actually as he is declining) to replace Kucherov (goal scorer, not playmaker) when it comes time.

Yep Yzerman would definitely need to unload on Callahan and probably Killorn to be able to afford Tavares even if he took the Stamkos deal at $8.5 million per, Plus be able to resign Kucherov next summer or this up and coming summer if Yzerman so chooses can't see Yzerman landing Tavares at long term without unloading some pieces.
