Make a trade with Toronto.

Created by: joshelkin

Initial Creation Date: Jul. 1, 2018

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
We know Toronto could POTENTIALLY lose Nylander or be forced to move him. Why not aquire Bailey, who has the most chemistry with JT in the entire league?

Also, he only has a $5M AAV for the next 6 years. Versus $7.5M plus for Nylander.

Contingent 2nd that can become a 1st if Nylander outperforms Bailey by 15+ points for the season

This is smart for both teams. Tavares gets his wingman and Barzal gets possibly his!

This was ridiculous and poorly received yesterday when you posted. Do you think JT now official makes it less ridiculous?

Tavares went to TO so that he could get away from his sub par linemates...

I wouldn't say poorly. ACGM's want a defenseman for him, which makes sense. But the logic is still there.

Go look at Bailey's stats last season and Tavares' quotes about him. Stop it.

Bailey averaged 38 points over 10 seasons.

    Tavares new linemates:

Marner has averaged 65 points over his first two seasons.

Marleau has avereaged 26 goals a season over the past 20 years.

    Facts.

Sure Bailey's stats were good last year but leafs arent trading nylander to save a mil or 2 for a player that is 6 yeas older and has cracked 60 points once in his career. Nylander is a much better player that is younger, while Bailey is more of a 40-50 point guy than what we saw last year.

Mayfield is a replacement level player that can barely crack your lineup, leafs could go out and sign Demelo or Folin for less.
