if im Nylander im wanting an 8 year deal, im sure the leafs want him to have a bridge deal, but he doesnt need to prove himself at all.

Agree....problem is the big JT contract and upcoming deals for Matthews and Marner. I think the Marleau signing strapped them.

I just got the feeling that Nylander wants a bridge for further riches later or to reach UFA sooner. Just my hunch about the guy.
