      You're ignoring the reality of next year, when the Maple Leafs will need at least $16M in cap room to re-up Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner and Kasperi Kapanen. And the Jack Hughes prospect means at least 8 teams (Montreal, Carolina, The Islanders, St. Louis, Arizona, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver) won't be trading their first-round pick for 2019. (The hapless Senators passed theirs on to Colorado.)
