I'd like to move Stone and buyout Brouwer, but with the buyout window closed I can't see that as an option.

Move Stone to any team that misses out on one of the remaining UFA's like de Haan

Healthy scratch Brouwer if he doesn't earn his minutes. The best players need to play.

Trying to spread out the wealth with this line lay out

Line 1- Gaudreau and Monahan work we know that. Any of Neal, Tkachuk or Lindholm work here. I chose Lindholm because I think having Tkachuk and Neal a bit lower in the lineup makes this team scarier offensively

Line 2- Backlund and Frolik work good together. Some will say "why is Bennett on the 2nd line?" Well his offence has been disappointing so far, he is very solid defensively and in his rookie year he scored 18 alongside Backlund, maybe he can do that again.

Line 3- Either Jankowski or Ryan can centre this line. I think Tkachuk and Neal on the same line would be very difficult to handle. 3rd lines win you cups, the Eller line did so for WSH and the HBK line did so for PIT in 2016

4th line- If the coach is bold enough to scratch Brouwer you have a very dynamic and dangerous line here if utilized correctly. Mangiapane and Jankowski lit the AHL up together and they had Hathaway on their line, Czarnik is a much better player, this line I think could be sneaky good.

Well firstly, I think Hanifin will get more in the neighbourhood of 5m per if he signs for that extra UFA year.

I do agree with your top line though, Lindholm should get first crack at riding shotgun with Johnny n Monny just because they've never had a competent right shot RW play with them before and it could create some new looks and creativity from Johnny.

Not sure if Bennett deserves to play top 6 minutes considering the depth we've acquired, would rather see Backlund reach his peak offensive potential by having two dynamic wingers like Tkachuk and Neal to give us that 1-2 offensive punch.

Your point about 3rd lines being crucial is valid, but I think with the first two lines set up that way you can still have a solid third line putting ryan on the RW with janko and bennett/frolik. Would do it that way for two reasons: 1) we don't have quite the level of talent that PIT n WSH have to be able to spread the wealth as much as they can and 2) I feel Janko is going to take a big step forward this year and playing him in a diminished 4th line role would hinder his development considerably.

Also hope Tre can pull off some wizardry and get someone to take Brouwer's cap hit.

It's gonna be very interesting to see how the lines look on opening night, so many possible combos.

I gotta give Treliving credit, he has really reshaped the forward group and it is very deep now
