The problem is, next year you have to sign Karlsson and probably one or both of Lee and Eberle. So this isn't really gonna work.

Also, that's not gonna get you Karlsson. 2 decent prospects, a decent 4th liner and a 3rd pairing d-man is not enough to add to a 1st and 2 2nds.

Actually, now that i think about it, this might not be THAT bad, as the Islanders could be really bad next year, so it could be a high 1st rounder ... still though.

the package isn't enough regardless, but isles will have no problem signing lee, eberle, and karlsson if they go that route. if they top 10 protect the first round pick and trade ho-sang, bellows, soderstrom, and the rights to robin salo and the russian center they drafted in the second round i think the isles can get him tbh
