Description

If Zadina is as skilled as people are saying, I don't see how the Wings should be a lottery team this year. Sure, quite possibly missing the playoffs, but not bottom 6, or even 10 again. That is, if we improve our defence which I guess hasn't yet happened for sure.
Idk what is fair for Faulk at this point, but I gotta think the canes are trading him and they aren't going to get full value. AA is skilled, fast, young, and at a higher position of need for Car than Faulk is. Detroit still adds, but I don't believe they add much here.

As for contracts, I believe they should lock up Larkin real long term for something around 6 mil - see Scheiffele and how good that contract looks now. Don't mess around with 5 years or 3 years or something. Mantha almost for sure getting a bridge deal, I think 2/9 mil is fair. Team looks deep if these young guys are any good, defense is still iffy but maybe a couple of the young guys can add some pop there. Goalie situation is honestly not bad at all, Howard is still very serviceable

I didn't think I was going to buyout Ericsson, but had to make the cap work, it honestly wouldn't be the worst option

i like the idea of this trade because it would immediately make our defense way better, while also making room for another young player up front. Although i really think the best thing for this team would be to keep what we have and try and have another top 10 selection next year. Sell some players at the deadline. Have another big draft and then start looking at trades or free agents.

That likely would be what's best for the team. I'm just impatient tbh with you.. and never like the idea of establishing a losing culture especially if Z walks out that door

Justin Faulk probably cost us Nyquist+AA+Det's 2019 2nd round pick, Pretty sure Carolina has no use for Darren Helm.

I like it. Not sure if the trade value for Carolina is there but it’s close and I believe Detroit could get there. AA has scored 34 goals in the last two years with limited ice time and a toxic relationship with Blash. I think people undervalue him. I’m not a big fan of him but as a trade asset I think he has a lot of value.

The site wouldn't allow me to put a rating in when I posted my original comment. I like this and it's close to realistic. The Faulk trade needs tweaking and as LarkinIsKing replied I don't think Carolina takes Helm unless the draft picks are higher ones or Detroit retains some of his salary.
