So substitute MDC with JHS....
Vande Sompel D man and prob a year out from being NHL ready. He'll get top pairing minutes in BPT when Toews arrives in the fall. Don't see him as a C value. I think he's a B

you may not see him as a C rated prospect (and i don't necessarily disagree with you) but the league does especially given his size and lack of defensive instincts. hes good offensitvely but not so good that you can completely overlook the defensive miscues. personally, I think he will end up rounding out that part of his game. regardless, substituting in ho sang for MDC would make this trade on target imo.
