A lot of clever thinking. If you take away the Marleau trade (you don't want to be known as a guy who signs a big-ticket free agent for 3 years and then moves him in his last), I would go along with the whole scheme. But that's just me. Wait'll you see how many people quote me with derision. (I note that you've left barely enough cap space next year to sign Matthews, Karlsson, Nylander and Kapanen.)

First two trades are horrible but the Karlsson trade is probably pretty close to what Ottawa would be asking for.
