Good work up. Any chance we replace Bratt with something else off the menu? Add Q and another pick? Speers or Bastian +?
I think Castron found that little gem in Jesper and I think we need that.
I'd even take another contract dump like Coburn

Giving up Severson, Bratt and a 2nd while also eating the contracts of Ryan Callahan AND Bobby Ryan is not enough to only get Colin White and Sergachev. You can make the argument that Sergachev and Severson is a downgrade, so that is way too much to give up to only walk away with that return.
Would only consider this if Ottawa eats AT LEAST $2M/yr of Bobby Ryan's contract, and even then giving up Bratt and Severson is too much to contribute, based on the return

Just confirming this, you have Serg as a downgrade on Sevs? If so you're wrong. Sevs minites were up (which is good) but Serg had 2x the pits almost
Don't disagree about full Ryan contract and Ott will probably eat some. Again as I posted want to keep Bratt and give something else

There are a lot of unknowns about Sevs and Serg. Serg played on a team with tons of firepower, and was able to be completely sheltered behind some very good defensemen. I am not saying it's a definitive that Serg isn't won't be better than Severson, but currently, it's not a situation where you're automatically upgrading at that position by making that deal (you may be, but again, it's hard to tell until he is matching up against top-line opposition for a change, [much like Will Butcher in that regard])
