Vegas and Ducks trades are the only two that have any possibility of actually being a real trade. TB has said Foote is untouchable... You take on Ryan’s contract for Brown which is a maybe but you give Ottawa 2 cap dumps in return which makes zero sense for Ottawa to pay you in brown to take the 2 contracts in smith and belesky

Even more so...why are two rebuilding teams paying each other to dump salary when they both have no cap issues?

It's going to be hard enough to get Foote in a deal that would in theory be to facilitate EK being traded to Tampa, I guess that's why Zucc is in the deal? Tampa's whole incentive is to shed salary to fit EK..."taking on" Zucc would make the numbers not work. They would have to move more parts (Coburn?). Probably makes more sense to send prospect/picks the other way (no cap hit) and leave the pick details out of it.
