Description
This is my projection... Of course lots can change, I expect Bowman to address the #2 left wing spot - be it patches or a UFA, however I don't see how Bowman could acquire a guy like Faulk, it's just not going to happen - if Carolina wants Saad, Bowman isn't going to do that..

I'm pretty impressed with this lineup, the Hawks have a TON of younger bottom 6 guys - some of which will certainly find themselves playing on the top 6 from time to time - but there is a lot of talent there (a lot of talent in Rockford too)... However it doesn't hurt to have a few vets in the bottom 6 that can play roles and be the "glue"... The only thing that troubles me it the lack of experience, with some of them.. Rookies are going to make rookie mistakes, and that was a problem last season...

The defense looks OK to me, you never know tho... It's way more experienced than it was last season (which was a problem)....

I think Bowman has a lot to work with - now and in the future...

And the long-term outlook for the Hawks looks fantastic... $25,000,000 next season and the only "key" RFA/UFA the Hawks have is Schmaltz, but Bowman has more than enough space to get him locked up long-term and get some of the other lesser RFA's bridge deals..

Goaltending is still an issue tho, who knows what's going on with Crawford - I'm skeptical if he will even start the season healthy...... So this may be the end of the line for Crawford, he only has one year left after the 2018-19 season, so if Crawford doesn't workout this season I could see the Hawks buying his last year out, or just LTIR him (if we knew what was wrong with him).

All and all tho - this team has a bright future..

Based on how much it typically takes to get a rental (E.Kane, Vermette, Ladd, Hanzal), chances are a 1st round pick would need to be included to get Pacioretty. Jmo.

I do not know why you bother to add Hamhuis, who has been declining at one of the most rapid rates over the last 3 seasons. He makes them objectively worse, wastes cap space for in-season trades, and blocks young guys like Forsling from developing.

And just a quick note: Edjsell didn't play center at all in Rockford during the playoffs, so they may not project him to play center.
