Horton can go on ltir so it really isnt necessary for the leafs to move him out.

well he cant go on ltir till like the third day of the season or something and considering how close to the cap theyre gonna be they will probabaly have to move him

Is it the 3rd day of the season though?? I've tried looking for this specific date somewhere and was unable to find it. If that's the case, then yeah that changes everything because teams are given a 10% cap increase during the offseason up until the last day after training camp, at which I thought it was at that point LTIR came into affect. So teams could simply offset the 10% cap increase being lost with being able to put players on LTIR from that point forward.
