For what it is worth they said they don't believe Rask would be moved even though his name has popped up in rumors

I am a fan of these trades/ideas. We don't really have any top tier LW prospects so the DAL trade would help with that. I think the DET trade is pretty good too but I think we would have to have a at least a 2nd coming back with him, if not more.

Why are you owing in Geekie? This is his first pro season, I might look t a prospect that is a title longe in the tooth. Faulk probably gets a 2Rd vs. a 3Rd out of that deal.

laugh Yeah considering Detroit's 2019 1st could be a top 5 pick, No way Faulk has that kind of value Sure i'd do AA+Detroit's 2019 1st (top 10 protected) That's the best you'd do.

I swapped the pick out for a second rd in the DET trade

I have to agree I can't see DET giving up a first, given what Ottawa is going through I don't even see DET doing the top 10 protected route,
Given their cap situation, no guarantee the're in the playoffs in the next 2 years

things don't start to look brighter for DET until 2020 when those old contracts start to disappear

AA+Detroit's 2019 3rd round pick is probably pretty close to what we would give up, For Justin Faulk. But i'd gladly do AA+Detroit's 2019 2nd for him. We'll get another 2nd for Nyquist and possibly that much for Daley so we can afford to lose our 2nd here.

1st + Guryanov + Ritchie for Skinner and Geekie? Or a lesser prospect from Carolina/no prospect... I just want Skinner
