Still, the year after you'll have the same problem with Vasilevski, Sergachev, Cirelli and Namestnikov getting raises. It'll be worse than the situation in CHI right now. Does it really worth it?

P.S.: Point clearly deserve more than 4.8M

You're basing this on everyone signing for $800k and no one wanting a raise. I see what you are trying to do but it's not going to work for TB. They will be strapped when it comes to this year and someone is going to offer sheet Point if they see what kind of team is being built.

800k for spares, that's what they are. Perennial Cup contenders, hometown rates, sunny beaches, star lifestyle, no tax, ... Who's bolting?!?! Point is 22, he won't be getting 8m on a 5 yr term. Offer sheets don't happen. Owners refuse to shoot themselves in the foot by raising salaries! ...Owners internal cap.

As a rangers fan, I would do this all day long... a couple of rentals in zucc, namest, and spooner, along with shatty for a boatload of good young prospects and picks.
