These are simply how I'd shape the World Cup teams if it was played this fall.

Matthews, Jones, Tkachuk, Werenski and Boeser belong to Team North America.
Shattenkirk was injured most of last year and is cut do to rehab/training.

Team North America and Europe were just for the first tournament because it was thrown together so fast. Next WCOH will have qualifying teams and such for countries only.

It also seems doubtful Faulk would be on this team - he only played two meaningless game at the Olympics and was not selected for the last WCOH. Byfuglien just has a monster playoffs, he'd be included, and younger guys like Trouba (24) and Slavin (24) are much better defensively (and that roster above could use more defense-first guys lbr).

This shows how weak the US is at center when you can't include the younger guys, though. Matthews, Eichel, Larkin are much needed addition for the US program at the international level.

I liked the Europe/NA teams, sad to hear they won't continue with them!

You sir are 100% correct! I'm not a Faulk-fan and Big Buff is the better choice by far! Don't know how I missed him.

I made the change and feel like he would be a better fit with McDonaugh then with Krug.
