That's perfect because we do not want Klefbom lol. But even as a rental, Paces for RNH is more than fair. Pacioretty, with a contract, is worth more than RNH, no one can argue that fact. So Paces as a full year rental is perfectly fair for RNH. And Pacioretty would be a great winger with McDavid, better than RNH

RNH and McDavid tore it up dude. And tell I’ll argue that RNH with a contract is worth more than Patches with one. To be fair Pacioretty hasn’t had a center to showcase his talents recently. However, it seems like RNH is more of a known and he plays center so I’ll give him the nod.

Sorry, but i disagree. 3 years of RNH or 5 years of Klef is more valuable trade commodity than 1 of Max. I get it though. I mean if Bergeron or.Marchand were on the last year of their contract and someone offered 3 years of slightly less talented player i’d tell them to go pound sand. The reality though is Habs would take RNH straight up and run right now, they won’t get a better deal. Decent but not great prospect and late 1st or 2nd is about the best they can hope for. We have been saying it all along, Skinner deal just reinforced it. Habs had no leverage to begin with, even less now.

How can you legitimately think that RNH is 'more of a known' ... last 5 years RNH has 237 pts to Patches 295 (which is 28th most)... and goals.. Patches has 158 (which is 10th most in that timeframe) ALL of which was as you said without 'a center to showcase his talents'. RNH has 97 goals in last 5 years

That's simply outrageous to say RNH is more of a known then Pacioretty. You have McDavid and Draisaitl up the middle - that's your path to the cup. Add an elite goal scorer to play with one of them is a must
