Salary Cap Mode: Basic

Again, a lot of this has little chance of happening...it's more for fun and should only be judged for value's sake.

The Buffalo, Toronto and Winnipeg deal's were part of the previous post and should be ignored, sorry. I could not include all of the pieces because they were from the season before and thus unavailable. I only included them to get the players on the roster.

The Vegas, Florida and Carolina deals are about three things:

First, for obvious roster space...can't play 5 lines.

Second, for cap consciousness. As the younger players come up for resigning, you want to remain flexible enough to retain them. Signing Panarin and Karlsson ate up a ton of cap...but with the trades and the eventual retire of Hank, they should be OK moving forward.

Third, the picks will keep the system well stocked for the future cap friendly (=D) players who will fill in as the roster rolls over. The reality of having a salary cap!
