Bruins minor rebuild

Created by: raowss35
Team: 2016-17 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 24, 2016
Published: Apr. 29, 2016
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
MIN trade explaination: Boston get skilled, big bodied winger (Niedereitter) and young NHL ready D man (Dumba). Minnesota get some much needed prospect depth (Khokhlachev), a young backup goalie with a lot of potential (Subban), a 2nd/3rd line center (Spooner) and a potato on skates (Hayes). WPG trade explained: Love the guy but it's time for Seidenberg to go whether he retires or waives his NTC hopefully we can move him to free up some cap space, probably to a team who need to reach the cap floor, if we could get a mid-range prospect and a 6th round draft pick we'd be lucky.

Call up Vatrano, Griffith, Heinen, Acciari and Hargrove. Vatrano and Griffith have already proved that they can play. Heinen has perform very well in the NCAA and hopefully that translates to the NHL well. Hargrove played well in the AHL with physicality and some scoring and could be a good fit on the fourth line. Acciari looked good enough in his stint with Boston this season so he should get some more game time next season.

Sign Goligoski for whatever he wants and a high energy, gritty fourth line RW like Farnham, Tootoo, Downie or Randell

Terrible trade for Minni and Winnipeg. Jets don't need help getting to the cap, and if they did, they could sign a better player for 3m than Seidenberg. And Minni, two good NHLers for what, a first rounder, and 3rd liner centre, the unwanted Hayes, Subban one of 60 AHL goalies and Koko...a minor leaguer.

Spooner had more points than Niedereitter in less games, on a worse line and on a worse team and is the same age, Subban is one of the top goaltending prospects in the league. Khokhlachev is NHL ready he just hasn't been given the opportunity because Boston has a deep prospect pool at center, which is something that Minnesota needs. Koko, Spooner, Hayes, Subban and 1st seems pretty reasonable for a highly rated D man and a guy like Niedereitter. But yeah I do agree that Hayes is unwanted, the only way to get rid of him would be to package him in a deal like this but probably beef it up a bit with another prospect? Czarnik?

I agree that Winnipeg won't need Seidenberg but hopefully a team does, I just randomly picked Winnipeg as a team to trade to and I just used Ryan Olsen as an example to what caliber of player you could expect in return
