Condon's on a 1-way contract next year and that's an awful lot for JVR.

Montreal is rebuilding somewhat and JVR has only two years left on his contract. There isn't fit there. But as Joe suggested...awful lot for JVR. From a Leaf view, the first rounder would be plenty thank you.

I love this! Leaf fans keep saying Montreal is rebuilding thing. Leaf fans love the idea that the Habs are heading towards a decade very much like the Leafs just suffered.

The Habs are not rebuilding. put that idea away right now. Did they just come off the worst year maybe ever? Absolutely. does that mean blow it up? Hell No. The Habs have issues of this there is no doubt. Our GM lacks a set of balls, he puts his personal friendships with his coaching staff ahead of the team, he tinkers with the 4th line rather than make a impact move... all of this is true. and there are more problems than that as well.

However there is 1 MAJOR thing we can't forget. The best Goalie in the world, the last years MVP missed 70 games and he was replaced by 3 guys who are nothing more than back ups. I'm not using that as a excuse, the Habs should have still found away to make the playoffs no doubt, but none the less the player in which no team relies on more was removed for the bulk of the year. The Habs missed the playoffs by 14 points. 7 wins. Would the Habs have won 7 more games with Price in rather than Condon/Tokarski/Scrivens? I have no doubt.

So Price back next year they are once again a playoff team. Not that simply making the playoffs is good enough, Obviously the Habs want to do more then just get in. So what's the number need to do so? Scoring! Scoring! and more Scoring!

JVR is surley a fit for that need especially at left wing where the Habs have little after Pacioretty.
