The Penguins pass on that deal IMO. They already have their top 6 wingers, no need to take on Neal and that large contract. Smith does not anything either. Rest of the guys do not make up value. This deal favors CGY by a mile.

I would agree with you but I think it is an interesting starting point. I think if you remove Foo and the 3rd and put in a defensemen who can jump into pitts tops 6 would start to be more interesting. The cap room it would create going forward would be valuable to the flames.

I think Brodie and Bennett would be of interest to the Penguins. Maybe some other young guys too..
