I like the Lee Anders grab, it's something different. McDonagh would be a mistake with the Hawks depth at Defense which you didn't equate for. We have Chad Krys, Ian Mitchell, Adam Boqvist, and Beaudin, plus Forsling is still really young and Dahlstrom in the AHL is playing solid. The last thing we need to do is take on another big long term cap hit on D with all these young guys on cap friendly ELC's. I like McDonagh but we should be spending on the forwards not on D right now.

Dzingel would be a great fit in Chicago given this is his home, but the reality is, he's going to get $3.5M to $4.25M the way he's playing.

Perlini for $1.3M is just nuts. The guy hasn't shown anything. Anthony Duclair has shown a ton more and look at his contract at $1.2M. Unless Perlini starts putting up points, Hawks will be able to re-sign him for $950K and I question whether to let him walk at this point.

Last thing is Panarin will want a minimum of 6 years and likely 7.
