if matthews and marner take those deals....ya, you can. i wouldn't hold your breath though.

As for the josi deal....there's just no way, even though he would be a pending UFA.

The great search for a Top flight Dmen for the Leafs should start only after the 2019-2020 season when Marleau's 6+ million contract is gone (and when the budget has been fixed with Marner/Matthews/Kapanen all signed long term). Pietrangelo will be an UFA at that same summer, IF he doesn't get trade and sign before than.
