You're not getting one of their roster D players with them huntng a cup. You're getting their two best prospects, one of them being on D, and a first. That's still a great deal.

That's really a joke of an offer.
Prospects don't equate to much. Neither do low round picks. You want a player of that talent level and you have to give to get.

You're getting two bluechip prospects, and a first and throw in a second if need be. This is a TDL deal sending him to a contender so you're never gonna get roster players. You're more than likely to get better deal at the TDL than in the summer and also trading hall sets this team up with the best chance of getting a top 3 pick at worst.

you want a guy with top talent. For a low round first that has less than a 50% chance of becoming a NHL player aka over 400 games. That doesn't mean a superstar just means he'd play 400 games.
And two prospects who haven't done anything yet. It's like saying trade McDavid for 5 lower first round picks. The odds you get a return like McDavid from those 5 picks is low.
When you are talking about trading a proven quantity you better be giving some kind of proven quantity back because the risk of not getting that is not worth it.
As I said, you have to give to get. No one would give you McDavid for 5 lower 1st round picks and no one is gonna give you Hall for a low 1st and 2 prospects. Believe me, every team has some hyped up prospect that never pans out to being what they wanted them to be. It's the nature of hype.
