Blackhawks 2015-16

Created by: wiegand_chris
Team: 2015-16 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: May 17, 2015
Published: Jun. 23, 2015
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The destinations for Sharp and Bickell make sense, and I think the return is *mostly* on point for what the Blackhawks are looking for. It's going to be a young team on the ice, but think about how fun that Teuvo, Panarin, Hartman line will be to watch if those 3 kids gel.
The defense is going to go through some growing pains, and if Q doesn't like (read: TRUST) the kids after a little while, they have a little cap space left to sign a free agent merc d-man.
After signing Darling to the extension we have no real goaltending problems for the next two years, so I think Raanta to AZ makes sense too.

Thoughts and comments are always welcome.

Other than the fact that you signed Saad for too little, Vermette for too little, Kruger for too much, and Rundblad for too much, and the Bickell trade's pretty unrealistic, but other than that, this one is solid, good job. cheers

LOL Saad gets twice that money. Vermette is gone, no use pining after him.

And why would you keep Rundblad, and even give him a raise?! Is that you, David? Johns and a cheap vet should be there. Maybe Pokka.

Also, what happened to Trevor Van Riemsdyk that you had to create him?

I should have explained that this is based on the hope, and inkling that Saad gave, that he will sign a bridge deal. 2.5m for two years isn't unrealistic.

van Riemsdyk wasn't on the roster or the list of AHL players, neither was Panarin. Had to create them and their cap hits. I believe both are accurate.

If Shaws getting 2m, I don't think 2.5m/3 years is unlikely for Kruger.

I can only speculate on trades like the rest of us, but after doing some homework of likelihood of landing spots for people, I didn't think they were outlandish.

The defense is a crap shoot and completely up to how Q feels about it.

That's odd. I had both TVR and Panarin listed right from the start...
