Before anyone bashes MDC's value: he is a point per game player in the AHL this season and has the 3rd most goals in the league. Certainly a late bloomer but he's turned it around and finally looks close to NHL ready.

Can you really be a “late-bloomer” if you were a top 5 pick? I’d way rather have Wilde or Bellows.

If Schenn moves its for a helluvalot more than that garbage package.
Schenn is a center, up the value,
Schenn is a 25+ goal scorer up the Value,
Schenn is 2nd line, first line all situations player, up the value,
Schenn has another year on his deal after this on, up the value,
STL likes him, up the value,
contract is very cap friendly up the value.

Considering all this, and STL's philosophy of building from the middle out, I have no idea how came to this conclusion.

in order to get Schenn you're looking at

    1st
    3rd
    Rathgeb
    Bellows

I am not willing to give up a 1st in a year the Isles are unlikely to make a deep run and have no 3rd or 4th rd picks. I also do not want to trade bellows

you think that defense and Goaltending is going to hold up in a 7 game series? even if they get to a conference final, you think that offense can match the speed and skill of Tampa Bay? I don't think so. keep building to make a REAL cup run in the future

I'm all for grabbing a winger like Toffoli, Simmonds or Saad but there is so much good talent in next years first round, especially at center. I'm hard pressed to pass up next years first round given the really bad depth at center in the organization
