Quantity does not mean quality. Minny declines.

AS a MTL I feel we are giving up A LOT for Brodin. I feel like Primeau is staying with MTL so it would be Lindgren. I think it would either be Olofsson or the two draft picks not both. I like the addition of Brodin tho!

What would MIN ask for Brodin? I feel that he is a big part of their core so I guess like a first+ a prospect?

You say the same thing about every trade.. It’s not like Brodin is an elite D he’s equivalent to a Petry a good 3-4 guy .. that 2nd round pick could be pick #40 -50 which in this deep draft is almost equivalent to a first in many other drafts , Shaw has been really good this year .. Also Minny would have choice of goalie which are both good prospects... So if you could elaborate more on your comment that’d be great (or are you just trolling )

Ya, if they were going to move him. That’s what i’d be looking for if I am the Minny GM.. The 2nd and 3rd really isn’t to far off. I’d want a 1st and 3rd/prospect. The players in this offer mean nothing to them. Just roster fillers. Every team has them. And every fanbase seems to think theirs have value. They don’t. If Minny is moving Brodin they are sellers and aren’t looking for those type of players.

I say it because it’s a true. 4, 5, 6 mediocre players does not add up to solid trade value. Does not work that way.

Brodin was a top 10 pick, solid 2nd pair guy. Just entering his prime at 25. If they are trading him they are in rebuild mode. They are not interested in pile of role players if they are rebuilding.

You have their interest...in the offseason.

Now...not sure. Depends on how they feel about their team. I think they should be in sell mode. They are aging rapidly, very few good young players coming up. Dumba out.

But i don’t think they are ready to yet.

If i’m Habs GM and he’s the guy I am targeting. I’d offer 2nds in 19 and 20 and Lindgren and see where it goes from there.

Doubt Montreal is going to trade that much Future for a guy who still wouldn't be the perfect partner for Weber. Yea, he would instantly become our top option, but it's still not ideal. I don't think it fits with Bergevin's plan

He’d be a huge upgrade to our D core at a cheap salary him and mete would battle for top spot with Weber

Still alot of futures for a guy who has a career high 25 points. Doesn't tickle my fancy
