StL says no, even without retention. Burakovsky has little value, Djoos is meh, Clark is still a ?, a #30ish and a #60ish don't really turn heads.

Not going to net much with Burakovsky as the key piece.

Via Google:
de·lu·sion·al
/dəˈlo͞oZH(ə)nəl
adjective
- Characterized by or holding idiosyncratic beliefs or impressions that are contradicted by reality or rational argument,
- Based on or having faulty judgment; mistaken.

What part of that deal even nets Schenn, much less Schenn with retention, much less an overpayment, much less a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge overpayment? Burakovsky? Injuryprone, 3rd line, one-dimensional skater, no. A #30ish? No. A #60ish? Move along. That leaves Djoos and Clark. Clark is too young to really call, but is nothing special frankly. Djoos... In reality this offer is a bunch of pieces. An attempt to weigh down the side with quantity instead of quality.

Schenn would be the #4 forward on the team behind Ovechkin, Kuznetsov, and Backstrom.

3 roster players (2 who are pretty solid but burk can be inconsistent), a high end prospect who is killing it right now, a 1st and a 2nd? massive overpayment. you must be the delusional one. lmfao.

You have 6 assets going there, but there are only 5, maybe that is why you think it is overpayment, you are adding things that aren't there.
Clark is not high end at all. At all. He isn't a top-10 prospect for the Caps, maybe not even top-20. Three players have over 66 points in the OHL right now, Clark has 27. He is 7th in scoring on his own team. If he is killing anything I am not sure what it is.
A Caps 1st is not the same as other 1sts, which is why I point out that it will most likely be a 30ish and a 60ish, nearly saying a 2nd and 3rd.
