As both a leafs and flames fan I would love to see chuky sign that deal and drive both Marner and Mathews price down but I don’t see it happening.

Let me ask you this... does marner get that much more than Johnny hockey? If I had to pick out the one player in the nhl that marner is a clone of it’s Johnny, their skill style talent and production are all very close. I think marner is better than Tkachuk but they aren’t miles apart and play different roles.

Than Tkachuk gets 8+ minimum. I would think they are even less than a million apart.
