Why would you want to take on 2 terrible contracts from EDM and give them a 1st rd pick to do so? Terrible.
Have zero interest in any of those UFAs.

If you look at the previous team it was all about maximising draft lottery odds by collecting unprotected draft picks. Probably is an overpay but if that's the pick that nets you 1st or 2nd overall it's not.
All those UFA's are decent players just not the big flashy names on the free agency board. A bit like Calvin de Haan last year, not a big name but a solid addition.

Care to elaborate? The trades are from the previous setup but I'm not sure what's sooooo absurd about them. All the UFA's are reasonable. Obviously it's not realistic I was just looking at the cost to odds of increasing your lottery chances ratio.
