Montreal isn't doing any of these trades.

1. Lehkonen is worth alot more than 10-15 spots in the draft. He plays middle 6 on 5v5 and all situations on specialty teams.
2. Philidelphia is not going to trade Ghost unless a team seriously overpays for it, this isn't an over payment and Montreal shouldn't be trading futures for talent to win now.
3. This trade doesn't make much sense to me from Montreal, Lucic is Garbage. we are paying him 4m for the next 5 years and you expect that all we get out of it is Puljijarvi, and we are giving them Juulsen?

1. Lehkonen's lack of finish worries me and trading him now when his value is decent may turn out to be the better long term move.
2. Its a hard trade to create that works for both sides but, I tried.
3. Lucic to me is a better version than Ryan Reeves at a much higher cost(I get that) but, I think Lucic can provide more offense. I love what Reeves provides for Vegas. Also I am willing to take a risk on Pul to move up in the draft. Pul to play with Koktaniemi intrigues me.

1. Lehkonen's lack of finish comes from experience. The fact of the matter is, he is in the right place at the right time, he knows where to go and when to be there. Why trade someone like that when all he is missing is his experience at finishing those chances. When he aces that, he is going to be a 30 goal scorer, mark my word.
3. I understand Lucic would be a good 4th liner, but for 5 years, that is an anchor contract that will hurt the habs for years to come. I understand why Montreal would trade for Lucic, but if they did, Edmonton would have to give up alot more than trading Lateral assets (Prospect for Prospect, 1st Pick for 1st Pick). If Montreal made a trade with Edmonton for Lucic, chances are, they could get alot of value. I imagine we could get those players without giving up Juulsen or our 1st round pick.
