Description

Just a look to see what will need to be moved. Added players that are ready to move up on the roster so it is a 24 man roster. This is going to get dicey.... unless there is a plan for marleau to retire I would have to think that zaitsev and brown are gone.

Yep, lockout coming in 2020.

I wouldn't mind signing Hainsy, Ozi might ask for more, but I've liked his game. Hopefully we can send him down to the minors to develop for the rest of the year and we can re-sign him, otherwise I hope that Marner can please take a hometown discount in the 9 - 10 range. Kapanen is going to be the biggest problem, since most players don't like bridge deals. He's worth 4 -5 at least in a long term contract. Yeah, honestly, this is pretty good, except optimistic that Kappy and Johnsson make Connor Brown money for what they offer over him.

We should deal Marleau IMO, and do something with Zaits ASAP.

Anyways this is pretty good, I approve of the likly roster, just the Kappy/Johnsson signings everyone will have an opinion on that.

The Leafs better hope Marleau agrees to a trade and does not retire. If he retires they would get stuck with the cap hit (even if he is traded).

They are not hyman and brown deals... they are one year deals not bridge. If they want to cash in when muzzin and marleau come off the books then this is their road there. Otherwise they are out the door. Simple facts of a cap league.

The only way we can trade marleau is if he retires so your line of thinking is a bit off there.
